Brady and I at the parade last year
Tomorrow is Veteran’s Day. We will be at the 15th Annual Wayne Spence Folsom Veterans Day Parade. We’ve gone several years in a row now. My dad served our country and I’ve always been a patriot at heart so this holiday is something that’s very important to me and I spread that reverence to my kids any chance I get. Be sure to thank a vet today, tomorrow, and any chance you get. Without their bravery our country wouldn’t be what it is today.
Plan to come out tomorrow to celebrate all those who have served! If you have young kiddos that won’t sit to wait for the parade, you can get to the Target parking lot early and what the horses get out of their trailers and see all the other parade participants queue up. It’s pretty entertaining. If you have kids that are able to wait, try to set-up close to the community center. There is an announcer there telling you about everyone: what war they served, what car they are driving, and sometimes the name if the horse. It’s pretty fun. Plus, there’s always a bottle neck as they turn in allowing us a good, long look. Especially entertaining when the shriners come through on their go carts wearing their fezzes. I hope to see you at the parade!
