Motherhood • Lifestyle • Love • Inspiration : My Pursuit of Happiness

Hey everyone! I’m Amanda a wife and a mom to two adorable little angels, Lyla and Brady.  We live in Northern California with our old “pound puppy” Sassy Princess.  I was an event planner in a former life, it’s still in my blood! I cant help it, I never turn down the opportunity to plan an event.  I love to cook, craft, create, DIY, and make memories with my family.  When we’re not at home we can be found outdoors running, hiking, or doing crossfit.  We love living in Northern California because we are so close to two of our family’s favorite day or weekend destinations: San Francisco and Lake Tahoe.

I started this blog in the fall of 2013 as a way to share the things I was doing with my family, to spread love and positivity, and to inspire and be inspired by the creativity of other people.  Encouraging women to lift each other up and to celebrate each other through support and recognition is something very important to me.  I keep it pretty positive on this page not because life is perfect, but because I would rather celebrate and share happiness than dwell on the “Debbie Donwner” moments in life.

These are my most pinned posts: Playroom Storage, Camping in Yosemite with Kids FAQ, and Ponytail Streamer Tutorial.

Here are a few of my personal favorites: What Motherhood Means to Me, Miduta: the Cure to the Facebook Effect, and My Dad.

Thanks for checking out my page.  I love to hear from my readers, please email me: mamamomtourage {at} gmail {dot} com.

  1. This is the cutest little website I’ve seen in a long time. I saw a link through Facebook because we are friends with Bryan and Danica Ferry! What a nice little write up about her. I have a 3 1/2 year old girl and a 2 1/2 year old boy! I currently stay at home taking care of them and my husband who recently suffered a broken neck and spinal cord injury. I’m always looking for ways to entertain my kids so my husband can focus on his therapy!! What a nice way to use your time wisely with your blog and website.

    • Wow Miranda, your kind words are so wonderful! I’m so glad you found us. I love Danica, she and Bryan and such sweet people.

I love coming up with activities to keep the kids busy, I put as many as I can on the blog. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. Moms helping moms is what Momtourage is all about.

Staying home to take care of your family is so admirable, and I’m sure it has it challenging moments. But looking at those faces looking back at your with so much love makes it all worth it, right?

Thanks again for reading my blog and dropping a line, it’s really so kind of you. I hope to “hear” from you again!
